You hear the sound of copyrights being destroyed. People who should get paid for their work of writing the lyrics and melodies are forefeiting those rights to now be paid to the Societee. "GIVE, GIVE, GIVE! we want your money, your intellectual properties, and your minds. We get this by pounding these repetetive songs with suggestive lyrics into your head 6 times a week". I guess backwards minds need backwards songs, eh?
in the one meeting i attended, i noticed that some witnesses were creative in the answers they gave to the questions, while others were simply repeating what the magazine said.
i remember that, at the time, i thought the creative ones were also the smart ones, while the others were lazy, and that no doubt the creative ones would rank higher in the watchtower.. well, i think i have changed my mind.
it seems to me that those parroting the questions are, in a way, the smart ones.
I think that those who craft up these fabulous bullshit answers are the ones who are deeply brainwashed. Its obvious just by the way their answers are laid out. For them to answer with the skill they do, they'd have to believe 100% that they are in the right religion. And as we've all seen, the WT can take any topic and somehow twist it and relate it to the talk/subject.
The ones who answer word-for-word are the ones who haven't succumbed to the bass-ackwards thinking just yet. Think of how an innocent child answers at the meetings. Their minds haven't been corrupted with this nonsense way of reasoning. Its only when they start "accepting the truth" that the fancy crap starts flying.

my younger sister recently conveyed to me that my other sibblings jws of course will not give dad any money to purchasde a pair of shoes for himself to wear at my daughters wedding as he has a pair of sandals he can wear, all this just to piss me off .
they have power of attorney over his estate and collect all the money and ever since mum passed away in a nursing home that they arranged for her and dad because they wouldn't look after him nor allow myself nor my younger sister to look after him and ever since then he cant even buy a lolly pop for himself.

I'm curious....if these special talks are "special" does that make the regular talks "not special"? If this is important shit and your life hinges on this nonsense, EVERY talk should be special. My theory is that its a special talk because the outline hasn't been regurgitated for the past 14 years like the rest of them have.

it's funny how when you are able to take a step back an look at the big picture...you start to notice things that are just a bit wierd.. for instance...at the meeting the other night, we all sang song number 58 (notice the first verse).
then look at the songs in the rest of the songbook...and you will see that verses of this nature are in pretty much every other song.
keep singing these over and over at the kh and you begin to memorize them and eventually find yourself singing or humming them later without realizing it.
I think its funny how the cult preaches from the stage: "would you listen to a song just for the music? Pretty soon the words will start affecting you whether you pay attention to the lyircs or not"
Exactly opposite here. They never mention the lyrics to the WT songs, people sing this shit without even thinking about it.
